Tankers!
We are happy to share with you some details of a new game mode that will soon be introduced to World of Tanks. The name of the mode is Team Battle, and can be placed somewhere in between Platoon and Company battles. The idea of Team Battle is to unite 5-7 players into a team that faces off against a comparable opposing team.
Basic Rules
- The maximum length of a battle is 10 minutes
- Battles are of the standard type
- Each team can pick vehicles no higher than tier VIII, and point costs of no more than 42. For example, tier I vehicles cost 1 point, tier II costs 2 points, and so on
- A standard team consists of 7 players. Teams which consist of 5 or 6 players are permitted to participate; however, for each missing player, the team will lose 1 point
The new mode will be available for all tankers and bring a new experience to the game. The smaller team sizes provide more room for maneuvers, and the level of contributions each player brings to the battle rises. Moreover, in order to win, a team will need skillful commanding and high-level team play.
The key feature of Team Battle is that battles will be conducted between teams of a similar skill. A special software algorithm is responsible for calculating different parameters of players and teams. Therefore, this mode will be interesting to beginners, who will be able to compete with players of their own level, as with veterans who will find worthy opponents more easily.
Each player can join a team or create it on their own, as it is in Tank Companies, or they can use the auto-selection feature. In this case, the search of a team for a single player and missing players for a team is conducted automatically.
More information about the Team Battle mode will be provided very soon. Follow the news on the official World of Tanks portal!
